Do you already know Magic, but now you need to move to V10? The first "Getting to V10" class is just for you!

We'll be gearing the class for people who are in previous versions of eDeveloper, anywhere from 5 on up. There will be a lot of emphasis on how to use Events, Controls, Transactions, reporting, and XML. We won't be covering Web or Browser programming, as that is a whole different ball game.

This online class is limited to 9 people, so there is a lot of interaction between students. Class runs for 1-2 hours online, followed by assigned  homework. You can bring your questions to class the next day.

We'll be covering all kinds of aspects of what is new in V10,  including:

Getting V10 installed
Using the Studio
How to actually enjoy using Events and Handlers
What ever happened to Record Main?
Using various types of Data Sources (ISAM, SQL, XML, Memory tables)
Hey, we have parallel processing!
How to use a real Debugger
What to do with all those neat new Control features
Tips, tricks, and best practices

Prerequisites for all classes: Students are required to have a "noise cancelling" or "directional" microphone headset. This enables all the students to hear each other without a lot of background noise. These are not expensive.

You should also have a Skype account. If you can't get one for some reason, we can make do with whatever phone number you have.

You can work in any version of V10. If you don't have V10 yet, we recommend you download the Discovery version.
